18 May Ogletree Deakins Selects Recommind for Enterprise Search
Recommind, the leader in predictive information management software, today announced that Ogletree Deakins, a national labor and employment law firm representing management in all types of employment-related legal matters, has selected Recommind’s Decisiv Search solution, including Matters & Expertise and QwikFind. Based on Recommind’s CORE (Context Optimized Relevancy Engine) platform, the deployment will form the backbone of Ogletree Deakins’ new information management structure.
Recommind’s Decisiv Search solution will provide Ogletree Deakins’ attorneys, more than 600 across 41 U.S. offices, with the means to work more efficiently by allowing them to instantly find and access a wealth of internal and external information. The solution will integrate with the firm’s existing databases, including SharePoint and LexisNexis, to create one comprehensive search environment.
Ogletree Deakins was in need of a unified search experience to ensure users are able to find relevant documents, emails or files across the entire firm and beyond. Decisiv Search provides accurate, automated concept search to help users quickly and easily find information they are looking for in-context, without the need of individual keywords. Recommind’s Enterprise Search Solution crawls and indexes information from any source, including document management systems, intranets, email archives, contact management databases and websites, ensuring that results are the most comprehensive possible.
Matters & Expertise includes relevant information found in practice management systems, billing systems, CRM and contact management systems, all in one place. Legal professionals can easily find matters and related information for a specific topic of interest, associated attorneys who worked on the matter, contact information, documents, billing information and more, in one repository.
QwikFind allows users to search for documents, matters and experts from the toolbar located on the desktop. The toolbar is also embedded in multiple Microsoft products, including Word, Excel and Outlook, allowing the user to perform a search without opening a separate application. Both products, along with Decisiv, extend the capability of enterprise search for all of the firms’ users.
Joshua Fireman from Fireman & Company is working with Ogletree Deakins as the company’s enterprise search subject matter expert and project lead in collaboration with Premier Technology Solutions as the Recommind implementer and SharePoint and LexisNexis integrator.
“When considering the options for an enterprise search solution we focused on finding a system that would give us the ability to search across the entire firm’s numerous knowledge management systems, including SharePoint. We found that Recommind’s Decisiv Search had the most advanced technology with a simple user interface and delivered the tailored results required by our large firm,” said Patrick DiDomenico, Director of Knowledge Management at Ogletree Deakins. “Ogletree Deakins needed a best-in-breed solution that also supported SharePoint for content delivery; Recommind was the clear winner in the ever-changing enterprise search industry.”
“As firms increasingly grapple with information overload, it’s clear that being able to intelligently access key information across multiple systems has become mission-critical,” explains Craig Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing at Recommind. “All users and attorneys need one search for their documents, Lexis data, firm wide SharePoint content and expertise, all readily available at their fingertips. We are excited to have Ogletree Deakins join the growing list of Recommind customers enjoying competitive advantage from simple yet powerful information access and analysis.”
