The Darwin’s The Age of Agility – Flexible, adaptable and resilient benefits Report studies HR professionals’ plans and strategies for 2021, including their opinions on employee benefits programs, as well as employees’ thoughts on benefits offered to them by employers and the technology experience they are having at work. Data from this report was gathered from more than 500 HR executives and 2,000 employees globally.

Some main findings from this report include:

  • When only half of organizations considered maintaining a consistent employee experience globally was highly important in 2018, this year, more than 80% of them recognized this as one of the most important priority. Despite this, when asked, only about 50% of employees felt that the employee experience is the same regardless of where they are.
  • Most organizations have already centralized or planned to centralize their Human Resources operations in the next year.
  • Nearly 70% of organizations agreed that the consistency of global employee experience was affected by the requirements of local benefits programs.
  • Overall, most organizations have been increasing their purchase of benefits programs at all levels. More organizations are implementing employee benefit schemes at global and regional level.
  • In general, organizations that purchase, manage and implement benefits software are more likely to have better employee engagement.
  • When asked about their user experience with technology provided at work, only 30% of employees rate their experience as Great when nearly half of them consider the experience quite average. On the other hand, when being asked the same question, half of the organizations think the HR software provided to their employees is great, when another half think of this as only average or needs improvement.
  • Most employees agreed that they feel more valued when employers provided them with HR technology benefits. A majority of them are also satisfied with being able to get benefits from one single software platform.
